If you love pork, then this is the giveaway for you! I’m partnering with OpenSky, an uber cool shopping/social networking site that gives you the opportunity to connect with and learn more about artisanal business, like the “Pig of the Month” club.

I don’t know about you, but shopping and social networking are two of my favorite things so OpenSky is right up my alley. Its sort of like Etsy, but with more of a social networking feel.

The Pig of the Month club is a subscription based service where you receive your choice of Pork (Bacon, Sausage, Beef Jerky, etc) every month. It’s a great gift for the foodies in your life, as well as a great way to introduce new flavor profiles into your kitchen. Duck, pear and pork sausage- yes please! (You will see the italian sausage pretzel dogs I made with their sausage of the month sampler!). So how are you eligible to win a big sampler of the best of “Pig of the Month” has to offer?

1) Leave a comment below on why you love Pork. (who doesn’t love pork, the world’s most versatile meat!- sorry vegetarians!)

2) Follow Pig of the Month on Opensky. (You can log in with your twitter or facebook account with opensky).

This contest will run until Tuesday, October 22nd, where I will announce the winner. Good luck and thank you for participating!

Oh my gosh, I love pork for so many reasons but the main one has to be the versatility of sausage. As long as I have it on hand, I can make so many meals! Breakfast tacos, Chinese dumplings, soup (a little bit goes a long way!), pasta, pizza, and the list goes on :)

Pork is so amazingly versatile, it never ceases to amaze me! We just did some basic chops this week on the BGE and they were literally dripping with juices- Seldom does a chicken do that.

I followed on Open Sky. What a fantastic market place!

Pork is the perfect food! Start the day with bacon, ham for lunch, and a nice slow smoked loin or boston butt for dinner!

Our family loves pork and usually it’s on our Sunday Table-BBQ Ribs or Crown Roast of Pork or Tenderloins marinated in different flavors/blends of citrus/herbs and spices. Nothing like a leftover roast sliced thin for sandwiches on football Sunday afternoon :) thanks for a chance to win this awesome selection
