The Stubb's Bar-B-Q Cookbook and Sweet Heat Sauce could be yours- just leave a comment below.

UPDATE: And the Winner IS- Carl, aka “Smokin Willy”. Carl gave us some great tips on how to use Stubbs with an actual recipe and directions on how to use the sauce for competition cooking. Thank you Carl for the great insight! Now this book and sauce is yours! See Carl’s comment below:

“Stubb’s is what’s happening in pro-competition barbecue. I will say, pulled pork is my favorite use of Stubbs original BBQ sauce. I use Stubbs mustard sauce as a base for my pork rub. It works really well and compliments the Stubbs original really well. I’m giving away one of my competition tips here, but mixing 1/2 cup of Stubbs Original with 1/2 cup of Stubbs sweet heat with 1 tablespoon of balasmic vinegar, 4 oz dark brown sugar, 2 oz honey, 2 oz maple syrup and 1 stick unsalted butter makes the perfect sweet/tangy taste a lot of the judges love. As for the Stubbs Marinades, I’ve only used his Beef marinade and it enhances the flavor of the Brisket aujus really well.”

Even before the days of GrillGrrrl.com, I have always been a Stubb’s BBQ sauce fan. Now, I get awesome -brand-spanking-new-on-the-market-sauce sent to my house on a regular basis, but there was a time that I would go to the store to buy sauce (when not making my own). And when I buy sauce at the store I always buy Stubb’s.

The Stubb’s Chipotle BBQ sauce has always been my favorite, though I’ve liked any of their sauces that I’ve tried. They now have a slew of new rubs, injectable marinades and sauces, and I gave the newly released “Sweet Heat” a test run with dinner last night. I used this sauce in my sliders, on the burger and as a dip and I couldn’t get enough. There is a good, slow burning heat in the sauce with heavy overtones of cumin and brown sugar. It is a highly addictive sauce!

Now, you can try this sauce and see what you think for yourself. I’m giving away a Stubb’s Sweet Heat Bottle in conjunction with the Stubbs Bar-B-Que Cookbook to the person who tells me their favorite use of BBQ sauce. That’s right, just leave a comment on my blog with your favorite use of BBQ sauce and why and this cookbook and sauce could be yours.

Giveaway runs until Wed, March 15th, 8am. Tweets, and facebook sharing will be given consideration for this giveaway.

Good luck!

Ya'll know I have a thing for cute salt and pepper shakers! How cute are my new Chili-Pepper Cowgirl boots that I just got in Arizona? Loving these!

Me and my son use it to spice everything. He goes farther than me with dipping cucumbers, mozzarella sticks and pancakes. My favorite is on a hamburger and anything smoked up.

I have been a fan of Stubb’s Marinades and sauces for a very long time. I did not know they had a cookbook. I will share on my FB.

  5. Barry says:

Also a long time big fan of Stubb’s. A quick favorite is to add the chicken or pork marinade to bottled mojo for chicken breasts. My favorite sauce has been the regular. From the verbiage on the bottles, I wish there was a real Stubb’s, but probably just marketing. Look forward to seeing the cookbook.
Glad I’m not the only Stubb’s fan.

I use bbq sauce as a pizza sauce. Using a soft tortilla as the crust, bbq sauce as the sauce, smoked chicken and bacon as the toppings. This is awesome!

I use it in addition to mayo in chicken salad, it gives it the best flavor.

I mix equal parts BBQ sauce and duck sauce for a glaze on chicken. I bake it most of the time, but works well for grilling too. Can’t go wrong with sweet and tangy…that’s the kids’ favorite way to eat chicken! :)

Great use of Sauce Lee Ann. A good sauce adds nice smokiness to baked beans!

  33. Cody says:

I use BBQ sauce the way most people use ketchup or ranch. I use for everything from hot pockets, to chicken nuggets, stuffed japs, French fries, etc. With so many different varieties of BBQ sauce, it’s the perfect condiment.

  34. Larry says:

We use it as sauce on our bbq chicken pizza as well. For tailgating, after the chicken tenders are nicely grilled, they go into a small warming pan on the grill (turned down low) with sauce to keep moist and give a more zesty taste.
Wife uses it for dipping her french fries, too.
