Update: And the Winner IS?? Char-Broil “Big Easy” Oil-less Infrared Turkey Fryer Give-Away in Time for Thanksgiving

The Char-Broil Big easy oil less turkey fryer

The Char-Broil Big Easy is going to make cooking your Thanksgiving Turkey easy as pie!

AND THE WINNER IS:

This was a tough one because you all really showed serious enthusiasm for this oil-less Turkey Fryer. However, one person stuck out as she has to cook Thanksgiving Dinner for the first time for 20 people and my heart went out to her. Not to mention that she has been a loyal fan and actually tries my recipes.

So, without further ado, drumroll please- the winner is:

EMILY McCradden!

Here is Emily’s original comment on the blog:

Hey Robyn! My husband and I bought a new home and are moving in this weekend. We’ve been nominated to host Thanksgving for our families (a mere 22 people!). I’m a little intimidated by the thought of cooking a turkey and could use all the help I can get… I have to pull out all the stops and impress everyone! I considered purchasing a fried turkey from Bojangles, (ha!) but would prefer something made with some loooove! The Big Easy would quickly become part of our family! Thanks for considering the Williams and McCradden crew! :-)

Just in time for Holiday season, I’ve partnered with Char-Broil to give away an Oil-less Turkey Fryer that is going to make you look like a Turkey roasting rockstar this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

About The Giveaway:

The Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-less Infrared Turkey fryer is the safe way to fry your turkey. And because it uses NO oil, it’s healthier, too. Prepare your turkey with the same injectable marinade you already use, or use seasoned rubs on the outside, which is not an option with traditional fryers. Cooks a turkey from start-to-finish just as quickly as oil-frying without the messy clean-up.

Take The Big Easy® Virtual Tour to see how the infrared heat circles the cooker to penetrate the meat evenly and seal in juices. The result is a bird that’s moist inside and crispy outside but without the risk, hassle or added fat and calories of oil. Safely cook a turkey (up to 16 lbs.) or chicken in about 8 to 10 minutes per pound. Roasts and most other large cuts of meat cook for slightly longer.

The Big Easy® includes a cooking basket, basket lifting handle, and meat thermometer and features:

- Enclosed burner design with 16,000 BTU’s

- Rotary Ignition

- Cool-touch handles

- Pull-out grease tray

- Stainless steel cooking chamber

To be eligible to win a Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-less Turkey fryer, contest entrants must:

  • Like the GrillGrrrl Facebook page
  • Leave a comment on my blog regarding the giveaway
  • While not required, special consideration will be given to those that also tweet about the give-away.

Giveaway will run from November 5-14th, winner will be announced on November 15th. Your fryer will be shipped to you in time for the Holidays!

Happy Turkey Roasting!

This looks way cool. Turkey frying without oil splatter in the snow (probably again this year!!) sounds fun. Drive the neighbors crazy with some great smells wafting around the neighborhood.

  2. that’s cool, would love to try one of those!

    Hey Robyn,
Wow, another great give-away. This looks awesome, I gave up frying turkeys because of the hassle & expense of using all that oil. My cooker mostly gets used now to boil water for sweet corn :)

    Later,
    Kurt

I would love to win the Char Broil Big Easy. Deep frying a turkey uses way to much oil. This cooking rig sounds great to get around that.

  9. Alan B says:

Wow…oil-less frying? I’d love to have one of these. I like the taste of fried bird but I do not have an area I consider safe for gallons of hot oil. This would be perfect for me. Thanks for the opportunity.

The first time I had smoked Turkey and then later Southern Fried Turkey, I couldn’t believe it! It was to my surprised, absolutely delish! And to think we can now get that same flavor, but without all that oil, is incredible! This would be an awesome prize that would bless generations, not only at Thanksgiving, but all year round!
